Not many know this but in December 2002, I began a 370-day continuous journey across 14 countries in Asia and Latin America on a budget of $30 a day. From the Himalayas to the Shaolin Monastery and Siberia in the East to the Volcanoes of Central America and South America from the top of Peru down to the most Southern settlement on earth. I travelled, I climbed, met people, walked alone and did volunteer work. It was one of the most incredible years of my life and I owe much to it. Over the next days and weeks I will attempt to share photos and memories from that journey one country at a time. I will begin with the Union of Myanmar, also known as Burma and end on the beaches of Brazil.
