Reflections Beyond the Top

With now Everest behind me, I miss it. Most of all, I miss having such a big and challenging goal ahead of me. One that I think of as soon as I wake up and right before I go to bed. Some may say this has left a void but actually it has given me the passion and hunger to do more and set higher goals.

My quest I know now was not to just climb Everest but it was to lead a lifelong pursuit where I can continue to push my physical and mental boundaries to the limit while exploring nature and the world’s most wondrous places. Sometimes it can be scary to take a risk, but I believe it is only by embracing uncertainty and taking those leaps of faith that we grow.

Because we cannot predict the future, we must believe in ourselves and follow our hearts and instincts in everything that we do.
