With Run-off Elections Few Hours Away

With elections now hours away, people are split into 3 camps; shafiq, morsi and a combination of abstaining/ruined ballots. Don’t vote strategically, this just leads to skewed results unrepresentative of what we all really want, and is what got us here in the first place. Vote with your hearts and what you believe in. If you despise both options, then don’t give any of the candidates your vote. Simple. Believe that abstaining is your right and a valid political stance. An elected president with minimal legitimacy is a meaningful choice and will shape the future political landscape of this country. Whatever way this goes, trust that Egypt will never go back to pre-Jan25 and eventually, the premis that the revolution was built on will prevail. I will not give my vote to a lesser of two evils.
